Review | Origins Plantscription Youth-Renewing Sheet Mask

This is what it says on the Origins website:
Unmask youthfulness with the power of 25 serum applications in 1. Our potent sheet mask goes everywhere in easy-to-pack packettes that help instantly nourish dry devitalized skin with youth-renewing Tamanu Oil. Skin looks smooth, supple, radiantly revived.
These are formulated without parabens, propylene glycol, mineral oil, PABA, petrolatum, paraffin, DEA, synthetic color, synthetic fragrance and animal ingredients.

So, we all know that sheet masks have been all the rage in the beauty community this year, so I figured I’d try them for myself to see what all the hype was about, and wow am I impressed with these!

Now, I knew that they would be hydrating because they do contain alot of serum, but I really wasn’t expecting to see a difference after one use, but I truly did notice that my skin was looking way more supple after only 10-15 minutes.
I also noticed that my expression lines/fine lines got way less noticable right away, and my skin felt so smooth.

Now, they say that these are best for line and wrinkle reduction (pretty self explanatory when you think of the name), and after seeing how my skin looked after trying them, I do think that that is true, but they didn’t make my skin feel tight at all, so even though they do plump up your skin, they don’t feel firming to me. I don’t mind that, but if you’re looking for something that will feel very firming and lifting, these may not be for you.
However, if you want something to smooth out any fine lines and wrinkles, I would definitly give these a try.

Review | NEW Clinique Pep-Start Eye Cream

This is what it says on the Clinique website:
A pep rush for eyes. Just 3 seconds to look wide awake, refreshed. Hydrates, brightens, perks you up. Its cool touch and de-puffing tip help keep eyes looking fresh. Smooths the way for makeup, too. Have it on hand. Ophthalmologist Tested.

First of all I have to say that I think the packaging on this eye-cream is very unique, and it feels quite nice and high-end, but I do find that the ball thing is a little bit hard to pull up sometimes. And also, when you push the ‘ball’ back down again to close it, some of the product will squirt out, so I would suggest holding over the hole when you close it so you don’t get the product everywhere.

Now as far as the eye cream it self I find that it is very lightweight, and it does sink in to skin very nicely, and I haven’t had any issues with it leaving a film under my eyes.
But with this said, I don’t know if this is anything special.
I mean, I do think it works just as well as other eye creams as far as hydration goes. At least I think it feels quite simular to others that I’ve tried previously.
However, even though I think that it makes my under eyes look a bit more awake when I first apply it, I’m not sure if that’s because it really does brighten my under eyes, or if it’s simply because my skin wakes up a bit after my morning routine.
But either way I do think that this is a good eye cream, and it does work well with makeup on top, so I do think that it’s worth it, even though I’m not quite sure it does exactly what it claims to do. But if you’re on a budget you can find cheaper alternatives as far as hydration goes, so that’s sometimes to keep in mind if you were thinking of trying this because it is a  bit up there in price.

Review | NEW Biotherm Skin Best Wonder Mud

111On the Biotherm website it says that this is a antioxidant-concentrated 3-minute mask with mineral clay to cleanse deep, diminish visible pores and get healthy glowing. Non-drying, mousse-like mask works impurities and sebum out of blocked pores. Use twice-weekly for powered-up cleansing against the build-up of city grime, makeup and toxins to beat dullness and help skin breathe again.

Antioxidant Astaxanthin combats dullness + Ghassoul mineral clay absorbs oil and impurities. Skin looks noticeably healthier, brighter and more even, feels soft as velvet and luminous.

So, I’ve been using this for the last 1,5 months, and so far I do like it.
However, I haven’t seen a dramatic difference in my skin, but it is a new product, so I haven’t had the time to really see how it will work after several months, but it does deep clean my pores, and it’s great if you’re in a hurry since it is a 3-minute mask.

Now, this is quite a unique mask to me, because it works like a regular clay mask, but I can’t really feel it on my skin when I wearit, so it’s very lightweight and I do like that it doesn’t dry out my skin.
Also, it does have exfoliating properties in it, and I do like that it is kind of a multi-purpose product that deep cleans and gets rid of the dead skin on my face at the same time.

Now, as far as luminousity goes, I do feel like my skin looks healthier and a bit brighter with this, so I have to say that it holds up to it’s claims so far.

So, overall I am impressed with this and I also think that it will work for all skin types, so I would recommend checking this out if you’re looking for a good purifying mask that won’t dry out your skin.

With that said I should also mention that I have ‘forgotten’ that I had it on, and I wore it for 30-40 minutes, and it didn’t irritate my skin at all, so it’s not a huge thing if you leave it on for longer than 3 minutes.

The only thing that might be a dealbreaker is the fact that it is quite expencive, but you do get 75ml in the tub, and you don’t really need much to cover your entire face, so that’s something to keep in mind.

Review | Karmameju Star Micellar Water 02

edit 02

On the Karmameju website it says that this 3-in-1 product is formulated to cleanse, tone and hydrate your skin. STAR is a gentle and effective micellar water, removing impurities and make-up with an easy swipe. The spherical liquid micelles attract dirt and oil, whilst organic Aloe Vera and organic Bitter Orange flower water soothe, tone and soften the skin. Remarkable Rose of Jericho is known to provide protective, moisture-retentive, and reparative benefits. Used topically it leaves the skin smooth and soft like silk. Use at home or on the go, rinsing off is optional.

This is formulatet for all skin types, and is beneficial for sensitive skin and eye area.

So I got this in a Glossybox, and I wasn’t sure if I was going to use it because it is a 3-in-1 kind of product, and I don’t usually like those, but I gave it a go and I do actually like this.

I use this as a toner after my cleanser, and this is one of the few toners I’ve tried that doesn’t dry out my skin.

It does however look a bit “soapy/foamy” when you wipe it across your face, but that goes away right away, so it’s nothing you’ll notice.

With that said, I do not like the smell of this. It reminds me of some kind of artificial grape sent, and I don’t like that, but it doesn’t lingre, so it’s not too bad either.

So if you’re having trouble with toners drying out you’re skin, I’d recommend this one for you.

But keep in mind that they only ship to Europe at this point, but if that’s not an issue for you, you can it at for € 18,00.

Review | Clarins Daily Energizer Cleansing Gel

On the Clarins website it says that this gentle gel transforms into a silky foam once activated with water. It floats-away all traces of make-up, impurities and pollution—leaving even the most delicate skin looking luminous, clean and perfectly refreshed.

Mild cleansing ingredients help neutralize the drying effects of hard water to ensure comfort.

It’s also dermatologist-tested and non-comedogenic.

Now, to me this feels just like any other gel cleanser, so I don’t think that it feels like anything special, but it is very soft at the same time.

As far as leaving my skin looking luminous, I don’t really notice a differenc, but my skin does look, and feel, very clean and I do feel like it helps to clear up my skin if I have any breakouts, so for that reason I do like it.

Also, this does not irritate my skin what so ever, and it doesn’t really have any scent to it, so I do think that this might work for sensitive skin as well, but I’m not 100% sure.

Now, this doesn’t dry out my skin at all, but at the same time it doesn’t help with my oils, so I think that this would work for all skintypes unless you’re looking for something that is hydrating/mattifying. If so this may not be for you.

Lastly I wanted to mention that a little goes a long way with this, and it is very easy to squeeze out to much, so keep that in mind so you don’t waste any product since you don’t really get that much in the tube.
