Review | Ofra Rose Makeup Fixer

This is what it says on the Ofra website:

The toughest weather conditions are no match for this setting mist (we know we’re from sunny, humid, and rainy So Flo). This Limited Edition sweet rose-scented Makeup Fixer stays put while shielding your skin from harmful irritants for up to 12 hours. Made with Vitamin E, Aloe Vera, and Chamomilla Flower Extract, this setting mist keeps the skin feeling like skin.

(Before I get on with the review I’ve gotta say that I didn’t realize that this was Limited Edition when I got it, but, from what I’ve read on the Ofra website, all of the ingridients are the same in the original one, so the scent is the only difference I could find.)

So, I was in need of a new setting spray since I lost my Urban Decay All Nighter (my purse ate it..) so I figured I’d try something different this time.
Now, I can’t say that this is better than the All Nighter, but I actually think it’s a good alternative.
And It’s also a little less expencive, which I’m sure most of us appreciate.

Now, what I like about this setting spray is that it does all the things I think a setting spray should do.
It takes away the powdery look when I go a little too heavy-handed with my powders.
It does make my makeup stay in place throughout the day, and it feels very lightweight and refreshing on the skin.
The other thing I really like about this, as well as the All Nighter, is that it doesn’t make me too
matte, or too dewy, so I feel like this would work for most skintypes.

However, there are a few drawbacks with it.
So, first of all, I’m not a fan of the rose scent, so if you’re like me I would recommend getting the original one instead.
And the spray on this is quite agressive, so if you hold it too close to your face you will get too much product at once.
Now, I like to spray at a downward angle, so the mist gets a little lighter, and it works quite good when I do that, but I think that’s something to keep in mind if you’re interested in trying this out for yourself.
But, on the plus side, I haven’t noticed that it leaves those little spots on my face, so I don’t really worry too much about it.

So, overall I think that this is a good setting spray, and it gets the job done, but I’d wish the spray was less agressive than it is.

It’s available on the Ofra website for 20$.
