I wanted to try something a bit different in this post, so I figured I’d talk about the products I’ve used up over the past year or so, and let you know what’s worth it and what’s not.
And like I do in my favorite posts, I will have links to full reviews at the end of the post.
So the first product I’ve got to talk about is the Soap And Glory Flake Away Body Scrub.
Now, I do really like this scrub because it’s not very harsh on the skin, and it does feel very hydrating, while it still removes the dead skin cells.
And it’s also quite affordable, so I will continue to repurchase this.
The next product I used up is the Himalaya Scrub from the brand Rituals.
Now this scrub is a lot abrasive than the Flake Away scrub, not that it’s too harsh, but I wouldn’t recommend it if you have sensitive skin.
However, this makes your skin feel like you’ve rubbed some sort of heat lotion (if that’s what it’s called) all over your body, and, even though you get used to it after a few uses, it’s still a bit wierd, and it is also more expencive than a lot of others, so I don’t think I’ll repurchase this anytime soon.
Next up is this self tanner from Tanworx (Monu Skincare). This is actually the first self tanner I ever tried, and I did relly enjoy using it.
It didn’t look orange, it lasted a good 3-6 days before it started to fade, and it was easy to apply and it didn’t smell too bad either, but since it is in a lotion form, you do use more product than if you use a tanning mousse, and for that reason I don’t think I’ll repurchase this one, at least for now.
When it comes to my hair I don’t really do much, but this argan oil from Nashi is a necessity to me.
I did just recently run out of this and I figured I’d try something different, but my hair felt like straw the second I stopped using this so I did repurchase, and I will continue to buy it everytime I run out, because it makes my hair so soft and shiny, and I just can’t go without it.
Next I have this little sample of the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning mask, and this too made my hair so soft, and it smells amazing!
However, I’m not sure if I’m going to buy the full size or not, just because I don’t really do much to my hair, but if I did use these kinds of products this is one I would definitly buy.
Now, I will first of all say that I did like the GlamGlow Supermud mask, and that mask was the whole reason I wanted to try this, but this ‘Supercleanser’ just did not do anything for my skin.
It was so messy to use, it didn’t help my breakouts at the time, it did make my skin feel like I’d just cleansed it, but thats not a good enough reason for me to repurchase this. And overall I just found it to be a bit too gimmicky.
So, in the morning I do prefer to use a cleanser with a bit of an exfoilating scrub in it, and I’ve tried both of these out, and I like both of them, but the “Never A Dull Moment” cleanser is way too thick, it basicly feels like a thick paste, so I won’t repurchase it for that reason, but the GinZing Refreshing Scrub cleanser I have repurchased, because it does exactly what I want a “morning-cleanser” to do, without making my skin feel stripped and dry, so that is actually the one I’m currently using in my everyday skincare routine.
Next I have these cleansers from Clarins, and these are the kind of cleanser I prefer to use at night, and at first I did try out the Energizer Cleansing Gel, and I did like it, but I did get a bit “used” to it after a little while, and my skin did start to get a little bit dryer, so I switched to the Gentle Foaming Cleanser, and so far I really like it, and I do use that one currently.
Now if I will keep repurchasing it, I’m not quite sure. I think I will kee using it untill I find something else that works the same, but is a bit less expencive, because I do like the way it makes my skin feel, and it does do a good job of cleansing my skin without stripping it, but it is a bit pricey in my oppinion.
The Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Multi-Action Cleansing Gel is to my very similar to the Origins GinZing one.
They both exfoliate the skin, non of them are too drying or harsh on the skin, but this one is more expencive, so I won’t repurchase this one for that reason alone.
I used to only use this cleanser from Shiseido, and I did like it back then, but when I look back now I’m not sure that it did anything spectacular for my skin.
Now, I don’t think it’s a bad cleanser at all, because it did make my skin feel very nice and smooth, but I don’t think that I’ll repurchase this again.
Next I have the Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser, and first of all I do think that this dried out my skin a little bit, and it smells a bit like chlorine, which isn’t something I’m really that fond of, you know?
Overall I just didn’t like this one at all, so I will not repurchase this.
The Lancome Tonique Confort is my favorite toner that I’ve tried so far.
This helps remove any residue from my cleanser, or whatever makeup I didn’t get off, and it’s not drying what so ever, and I really hate it when my face feels tight and dry.
I also love the fact that you can get a bigger size in this, and it’s not really that expencive at all, so I have already repurchased this.
Now, this sort of has the same story as the cleanser from this line.
I did like it back when I used it, and I do still think that it’s a good ‘toner’, but my skin did change, and this does dry it out a little bit more than I’m comfortable with, so I will not repurchase this.
Now, I have to say that I actually do quite like Estee Lauder skincare, and this is no different, but I would say that this is better if you have oily skin, and not combination because it is drying, but it does what it’s supposed to do, so I would repurchase this if my skin gets oilier again.
This toner is from the brand Naobay, and even though I do remember liking it, I didn’t think it was anything special, and it is so hard to find this brand that I just couldn’t be bothered going to the trouble of repurchasing this, if it was easier to find I might buy it again, but it’s not, so.
This product is ment to be an all-in-one sort of a thing, but I used it as a toner, and I did enjoy using this, because it did feel very refreshing, and it didn’t dry out my skin at all, but when it all came down to it, I didn’t like the scent of this (I really hate artifical grape scents), and it was a little bit too soapy for me, so I wouldn’t repurchase this for that reason, but I did enjoy using it.
This is the last product from the Shiesido Purness line, and this is probably the product that I liked best out of them, because it did leave my skin feeling smooth and hydrated, but, like I’ve mentioned several times now, it wasn’t quite enough after my skin got a bit dryer, so I don’t think that I’ll repurchase this one either.
Next up is this moisturizer by the brand Talika.
Now, I remember that this made my skin feel so silky smooth, and it did keep my skin hydrated throughout the day, but it did also make me oily, and I don’t really want that to happen, so I don’t think I’d repurchase, but I did really enjoy it while it lasted.
This is another sample that I tried, and honestly I didn’t see any difference in my skin when I was using it, neither good or bad, so I don’t know how to feel about this.
But there are so many other face creams out there that actually makes a difference, so I don’t think I’ll buy full size of this.
Next up is the Origins GinZing Energy-boosting moisturizer.
This one I’ve been thinking about trying again for quite a while now, but I’m not sure if it would be enough hydration for me right now, but it is a good moisturizer, and it does make your skin look a bit more awake/”brighter” when you use it, so I do think that I will repurchase this at a later time.
This is the daycream I’m currently using, and I have repurchased this ones before (I’m almost out of my second jar), and this keeps my skin hydrated all day, it sooths my skin whenever it’s a bit irritaded and overall I do really like this, but it is very expencive.
So I will most likely repurchase this, but if I find a cheaper alternative I will go for that instead.
Next up is another sample, and this is of the Estee Lauder Revitalizing Supreme Global Anti-Aging Cream.
Now, this is very expencive, but it is very good. I didn’t really find anything negative about this while I was using it. This made my skin so silky-smooth, it kept my skin hydrated and healthy and I just loved it, but it is so expencive, and that is the only reason I haven’t bought a full size of this.. yet..
Now, I don’t think it will come as any surprise when I say that I have repurchased this several times, and I will continue to repurchase this.
This is my absolute favorite nightcream, it’s very hydrating, it makes my skin look very healthy and fresh when I wake up in the morning, and yeah. I really love this cream.
The same goes for this Night-A-Mins oil. I really like the way this hydrates and makes my skin feel, and I have, and will continue to repurchase this.
The only reason that I haven’t gone through more bottles is because it takes me around 6 months to go through one, so they do last for quite some time.
So, I only have two sample-size bottles of ths serum to show you, but I have gone through, at least, five or so, and this is basicly the same story as the Estee Lauder Cream I mention previously. It does what it’s supposed to, it hydrates, makes my skin look and feel refreshed and healthy, and all of those good things, but it’s so expencive, and I just don’t know if I’ll ever use that much money on a serum.
So for now I won’t buy a full size of this, but I might in the future.
This serum is one of those that’s supposed to help ‘brighten and even out’ your complexion, and at first I felt like it did do those things (to a certain point), but then when I was almost done with the bottle, my skin looked exactly the same as it did before I started using this, so I won’t repurchase this one.
This facial oil from Loreal did actually surprise me, because I didn’t really have high expectations because it is a very inexpencive oil, but it did sink in to my skin, it helped with my dry patches, and it did leave a wierd film on my skin.
However, I don’t use facial oils in the morning, and since I swear by my Night-A-Mins oil, I will not repurchase this.
Now this eyecream I used for a long long time, and I did enjoy it while I used it, but I just reached a point where I needed to switch it up a bit, and I started to try other eyecreams, so I won’t repurchase this, at least not at this point.
Next up is this eyecream from Kiehl’s.
I do remember this making my undereyes look very hydrated and replenished, and I honestly don’t know why I didn’t repurchase, but now I use something else, so I guess I won’t.
So this roll-on serum, thing was something I got in a subscription box, and I’m always down to try new things, especially when it comes to products that claims to help with dark circles, puffiness or any other undereye issue, but even though this felt very cooling and nice underneath my eyes, I didn’t see a difference at all, so I wont buy a new one of this.
Next up I have these two eyecreams from Clinique.
Now, the Pep-Start one was, to me, one of those eyecreams that workes when it comes to hydration and soothing in the warmer months, but when we got into the colder months it just didn’t do enough, so I switched over to the All About Eyes Rich cream, and I use it to this day. I really do enjoy that eyecream, and I will continue to repurchase.
This one is another one of the eyecreams that disappointed me.
This was a bit up there in price, but it didn’t do anything. It didn’t hydrate my unereyes, it didn’t help with my dark circles or pufiness, so I will not repurchase another one of this.
This is another one of those products that I still use on a regular basis, and I do really enjoy using this facial scrub.
It makes my skin feel so so smooth, and it looks so fresh, healthy and radiant after I use this, and it’s not that expencive either, so I will continue to repurchase this.
This is another one that I really really loved, and it did everything I wanted it to do, but I do have a very hard time finding this product, so I just don’t bother to repuchase this because it’s so hard to find.
I also finished a jar of the Biotherm Wonder Mud, and I really like this one as well.
I love the way it makes my skin feel clean and fresh, and I also love that it’s not so harsh that it’s stripping my skin.
And it’s also very quick and easy to use, so I have and I will probably continue to repurchase this.
I’ve used up a few bottles of the Smashbox Primer Water, and I repurchase this everytime I run out because it’s such a multi-tasking product.
I use it as a primer, setting spray, a refresher throughout the day, I use it to intensify eyeshadows.
I use it for a lot of things, and I do truly love it.
These ones to me are very similar to the Smashbox one, and even though I do like these, I’ve just been reaching for my Primer Water, and the smashbox one is also more available to me, so I won’t repurchase these. At least not for now.
Next up I have the Loreal Volume Milion Lashes So Couture.
This is one of my all time favorite mascaras, because it can look natural, but it’s also easy to build up for a more dramatic effect, and it’s inexpencive as well, so I will continue to repurchase this.
And my last emptie is the Smashbox Always Sharp Lip Liner.
Now, I used to use this all the time, becuase I loved that shade, but for some reason I just haven’t thought about repurchasing it.
Now, it’s a good lip liner, it lasts a long time, it’s creamy and easy to apply, but it’s a bit up there in price, and I have come across other lip liners that I like just as much, if not more than this, so I don’t think I’ll repurchase this.
